One Stop Shop Office

DESCRIPTION:

The one-stop shop is a local hub that provides residents with practical support and advice on energy renovation, shared renewable energy projects and energy communities. Bringing together a multidisciplinary team, it serves as a single point of contact where citizens can access information, receive technical guidance and complete administrative procedures, such as applying for renovation funding or joining shared energy initiatives. The space also promotes community engagement and awareness of sustainable technologies and the energy transition.

APPLICATION

Es Laboratori is becoming a municipal focal point in the La Soledat-Llevant Sud area as available to all social actors involved in the urban innovation process, inspired by the ideals of Climate Positive Circular Communities. In this way, it guarantees an optimal center for meetings, workshops, and community engagement, ensuring the continuity of the ARV project’s objectives. The Living Lab concept transcends the one-shop office as a single workspace. The technical staff develop several activities and technical support services in other spaces in the interest area such a Can Ribes, belonging to the same municipal administration in the target area, or even in collaboration with other public body, such as formal education centers (the Aurora Picornell Secondary School) in order to publicize ARV project goals: talks on shared self-consumption, a virtual reality and augmented reality showing to facilitate to the neighbours a visual idea of their properties once renovated. Participating in the “Neighbourhood Entities Day” to promote the Es Laboratori concept and purpose is another example about how to bring the Living Lab closer to the neighbourhood community.
