Transforming the Built Environment under the European Green Deal
The conference marks the end of 5 years of work to develop and demonstrate groundbreaking solutions in communities across Europe. 36 partners from academia and industry in 8 European countries have collaborated to deliver 6 large-scale demonstration projects with more than 50 innovations ranging from energy efficient technologies and circular materials to tools and processes for planning and design. We have developed and validated a wide range of attractive, resilient, and affordable solutions that can significantly speed up deep energy renovations and lay the foundation for wide-scale deployment of energy-efficient, circular, and digital solutions in the construction industry. The conference will highlight the lessons learned from the implementation of the solutions and discuss the challenges and opportunities to their wide scale market uptake.

How to get to Trondheim
Airport
The closest airport to Trondheim is Trondheim Værnes. Located about 30 km from the city center. To travel from the airport to the city there are a few options:
Airport Bus
This is the easiest option. The Værnes ekspressen (airport bus) leaves from right outside the airport, you will see the bus parked right outside the exit doors. A ticket can be purchased from the people standing outside the bus or from a machine in the airport.
Tickets cost 260kr one way / 450kr return (26/45€) to go from the airport to Trondheim.
On the way back you have to hail the bus. You can book online to get a cheaper price.
Train
Taxi
Taxi is the most expensive option and will cost about 800 kr (80€). The taxi queue is located just outside the exit doors. Taxi is the only option if you are arriving late at night after the bus and train.
Train from Oslo
There is a train from Oslo which takes about 7 hours. The train cost 600-1200 kr (60 -120€). Schedule and ticket purchase can be made at VY here.
