Cantera Ca’s Vilafranquer, S.L. is a family-owned quarrying company based in Petra, Mallorca (Balearic Islands, Spain), specializing in the extraction and processing of marés, a traditional Mallorcan sandstone widely used in local construction. Operating from the Son Montserrat estate, where stone extraction dates back to the 13th century, the quarry was formally opened in 1970 and has been run by the Amengual family since 1972. The company produces building stone and aggregates, including crushed stone (picadís) made from quarry by-products, and supplies materials for construction and architectural projects across the Balearic Islands
