The Institut Balear de l’Energia (IBE) is the public energy agency of the Government of the Balearic Islands, established to drive a green, fair, and locally rooted energy transition across the archipelago. The Institute promotes energy efficiency, renewable energy deployment, shared self-consumption schemes, energy communities, and electric mobility, while also supporting public sector decarbonisation and citizen access to affordable clean energy. Through projects ranging from community solar installations to the management of the regional electric vehicle charging network, the IBE aims to democratise energy and strengthen the energy resilience and sustainability of the Balearic Islands.
