Palma City Council is one of the four public administrations with political responsibility in the city of Palma, capital of the Balearic Islands in Spain. The department of Urbanism, Appropriate Housing and Sustainability promotes the transformation of the socio-economic and environmental model through urban intervention with criteria of sustainability and social justice, and with the consensus of social agents, to make Palma a city for the people.

Llevant Innovation District, currently under development, is conceived as a space of opportunity for the transformation of the city’s economic model with the objectives of environmental sustainability and social justice. The transition of the energy model to deal with the climate crisis is one of the goals of the district.
