Who are We?

WEBINAR: Building a Beautiful, Sustainable, and Inclusive Europe: From the Green Deal Call to the New European Bauhaus

On 19 May 2026, the ARV project will join forces with fellow Green Deal Call initiatives—including oPEN Lab and PROBONO, to host a webinar focused on turning Europe’s sustainability ambitions into tangible impact. The event will showcase how projects like ARV are actively contributing to the vision of the New European Bauhaus (NEB), grounded in sustainability, aesthetics, and inclusion.

ARV exemplifies these values by promoting climate-positive, circular communities that extend beyond individual buildings to neighbourhood-scale transformation. Its approach integrates environmental performance with strong social and architectural quality.

The session will explore how sustainability, aesthetics, and inclusion are being applied at neighbourhood scale, drawing on insights from leading projects and EU stakeholders. It will present practical examples of NEB principles in buildings, public spaces, and communities, alongside policy perspectives on advancing NEB through research and innovation. Participants will also examine key challenges and opportunities in implementing these principles, explore transferable lessons to help cities and regions replicate and scale solutions, and reflect on the critical role of collaboration in delivering sustainable, inclusive, high-quality built environments.

A strong emphasis will be placed on co-creation with citizens and local stakeholders. The webinar will also foster dialogue with policymakers and practitioners, aiming to identify shared challenges and exchange insights that can support the broader uptake of NEB-inspired solutions.

The event is designed for EU-funded project teams, policymakers (including DG RTD, DG ENV, DG CLIMA, DG ENER, and the JRC), as well as cities, regional authorities, NGOs, and professionals such as architects, engineers, artists, and artisans. Its purpose is to highlight how Green Deal projects are operationalising NEB principles, facilitate the exchange of challenges and solutions, and contribute to shaping future NEB-related policies.

Registration is open until 15 May 2026, with access details shared on 18 May 2026.
