ARV awareness-raising workshop ‘Architects as facilitators of the energy transition: insights from the ARV experience in Karviná’

As the EU accelerates its energy transition, environmentally sustainable architecture plays a vital role in reducing carbon emissions from buildings and promoting sustainability. Today’s architectural innovation goes beyond aesthetics, creating spaces that are functional, community-focused, and socially engaging. How can design act as a catalyst for awareness of the energy transition? And how can new approaches and tools shape spaces in line with the NEB principles: beautiful, sustainable, and collaborative?

These questions will frame the discussion at ‘Architects as Facilitators of the Energy Transition: Insights from the ARV Experience in Karviná’, on 12th November in Prague, Czech Republic. The event, held in Czech, is organised by CVUT, the Czech demonstration leader of ARV, in partnership with the Architects’ Council of Europe, as a side event of the Architects’ Council of Europe & ČKA Conference “Affordable and Quality Housing for All”, within the EU-funded ARV project. Participants will explore practical, transferable solutions for sustainable building design within the Karviná Climate Positive Circular Community.

The ARV project demonstrates and validates solutions that are visually appealing, resilient, and cost-effective, aiming to accelerate deep energy renovations across Europe’s diverse climatic zones and support broader adoption of energy and climate measures in the construction and energy sectors.

Workshop projektu ARV pro zvyšování povědomí „Architekti jako facilitátoři energetické transformace: zkušenosti projektu ARV v Karviné“

S akcelerací energetické transformace v EU hraje environmentálně udržitelná architektura klíčovou roli při snižování emisí uhlíku budov a podporování udržitelnosti. Současné architektonické inovace přesahují pouhou estetiku a vytvářejí prostory, které jsou funkční, zaměřené na komunitu a společenskou angažovanost. Jak může design působit jako katalyzátor povědomí o energetické transformaci? A jak lze vyvinout nové přístupy a nástroje pro tvorbu prostorů podle principů NEB: krásné, udržitelné a společné?

Tyto otázky budou rámovat diskusi na téma „Architekti jako facilitátoři energetické transformace: zkušenosti z projektu ARV v Karviné“, která se uskuteční 12. listopadu v Praze, Česká republika. Akce, která proběhne v češtině, je organizována ČVUT, českým demonstračním lídrem projektu ARV, ve spolupráci s Radou architektů Evropy, jako doprovodná událost konference Rady architektů Evropy a ČKA „Dostupné a kvalitní bydlení pro všechny“ v rámci projektu ARV financovaného z fondů EU. Účastníci budou mít příležitost seznámit se s praktickými a replikovatelnými řešeními pro návrh udržitelných budov v rámci konceptu Klimaticky pozitivních cirkulárních komunit.

Projekt ARV demonstruje a ověřuje řešení, která jsou vizuálně atraktivní, odolná a nákladově efektivní, s cílem urychlit rozsáhlé energetické renovace napříč různými klimatickými zónami Evropy a podpořit širší zavádění energetických a klimatických opatření ve stavebnictví a energetice.
