In September, Iuliia Maskova, a project engineer and researcher from the Catalonia Institute for Energy Research (IREC), had the privilege of representing the ARV team at the 16th International Conference on Sustainability in Energy and Buildings (SEB-24) in Santa Cruz, Madeira, Portugal.
At the event, she presented a paper titled “Testing Architectural Quality Key Performance Indicators for Climate Positive Circular Communities in a New Highly Efficient Residential Building“, which she co-authored with Joana Ortiz and Jaume Salom from IREC, and Óscar Negre Moreno from Metrovacesa. The paper focused on applying the architectural quality indicators defined for the ARV project assessment framework to a highly efficient residential building. The proposed methodology was successfully applied in the real case study and proved to be a useful framework for evaluating the design concepts of the building and the Indoor Environmental Quality of the occupants.
The conference provided a fantastic platform for exchanging innovative ideas and featuring inspiring presentations. Iuliia extended her gratitude to the entire ARV project team for the opportunity to contribute towards the goal of Climate Positive Circular Communities.
