The Architects’ Council of Europe is the European organisation representing the architectural profession at European level. Its headquarters and Secretariat are located in Brussels. Its membership currently consists of 43 Member Organisations, which are the regulatory and professional representative bodies in all European Union (EU) Member States, and accession Countries, Switzerland and Norway. Through them, the ACE represents the interests of over 600,000 architects from 30 countries in Europe. The ACE is the communication and dissemination leader of the ARV project. |
Ayuntament De Palma De Mallorca
Palma City Council, also popularly known as Cort, is one of the four public administrations with political responsibility in the city of Palma, capital of the Balearic Islands in Spain. The area of City Model, Appropriate Housing and Sustainability promotes the transformation of the socio-economic and environmental model through urban intervention with criteria of sustainability and social justice, and with the consensus of social agents, to make Palma a city for the people. Llevant Innovation District, currently under development, is conceived as a space of opportunity for the transformation of the city’s economic model with the objectives of environmental sustainability and social justice. The transition of the energy model to deal with the climate crisis is one of the goals of the district. Within the ARV project, Palma assumes responsibility for carrying out the following innovations: – Large-scale energy renovation of dwellings in La Soledat neighborhood. – Creation and dynamization of the Citilab as a space for collaborative co-creation to collectively achieve the goals of energy transition and social justice, among others. – Promotion and creation of citizen energy communities – Adaptation of planning tools to improve the energy efficiency of homes |

Czech Technical University – CVUT
Founded in 1707, the Czech Technical University – CVUT is one of the oldest and largest technical universities in Europe – approx. 18,000 students at eight engineering faculties. The University Centre for Energy Efficient Buildings (UCEEB) was founded in 2012 as an independent research institute within CVUT. UCEEB brings together researchers from 4 founding faculties (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering). UCEEB is a national centre of excellence in field of energy efficient building and focuses on implementing sustainable innovations for whole building life cycle. The main strength of the Centre is strong transfer of knowledge to practice through close cooperation with industry and municipalities. The Green Digital Finance Alliance was launched by Ant Financial Services and UN Environment Programme (UNEP) to address the potential for digital finance and fintech-powered business innovations to reshape the financial system in ways that better align it with the needs of sustainable development. In the ARV project, a significant part of our work is to map, analyse and rethink to innovate how finance, data, and new technologies are exploited in a bid to optimise how regulatory frameworks can be harnessed to support innovation in financing solutions and business models to accelerate the transition to a less carbon-intensive economy. |
HABITECH DTTN - Distretto Tecnologico Trentino
HABITECH – Energy and Environment District – is the Italian leading centre for green building, renewable energy and innovation. As a non-profit cluster organization established in 2006 in Rovereto (Autonomous Province of Trento), it aims at creating business networks and production chains specialised in the fields of sustainable buildings, energy efficiency and smart technologies. Today Habitech consists of around 130 members, including SMEs, large companies, research centres and public entities, located in the Autonomous Province of Trento and elsewhere in Italy. Habitech is at the forefront of several regional, national, and EU projects and initiatives which enhance the different dimensions of sustainability in the construction sector. |

Housing Europe is the European Federation of Public, Cooperative and Social Housing. Established in 1988, it is a network of 46 national and regional federations which together gather about 43,000 public, social and cooperative housing providers in 25 countries. Altogether they manage around 25 million homes. Social, public and co-operative housing providers have a vision of a Europe which provides access to decent and affordable housing for all in communities which are socially, economically and environmentally sustainable and where everyone is enabled to reach their full potential. |
Instituto Balear De La Vivienda
The Balearic Social Housing Institute (IBAVI) is a public body attached to the Mobility and Housing Ministry of the Government of the Balearic Islands, whose objective is the creation and maintenance of a real estate park of public social housing for the citizens of this community since 1986. The current housing park consists of more than 1.800 protected homes on a rental basis. At this moment, there are more than 900 new dwellings under construction to face housing emergency and climate emergency. Previously, the IBAVI promoted and developed the LIFE Reusing Posidonia Project, funded by the European programme LIFE+ for Nature Conservation & Climate Change Adaptation Projects. It has been awarded with the 2021 LIFE Award for Best Environment Project by the European Commission, among many others. |

The Catalonia Institute for Energy Research (IREC) is a publicly funded institution created in 2009 based in Barcelona that conducts innovative research over a wide range of disciplines within the science and technology energy field. IREC contributes to sustainable development via development of new technological solutions, promotion of scientific and technological know-how related to clean energy and its efficient use as well transfer of solution and expertise to market actors. The institute also supports the promotion of renewable energy technologies and assists political decision-makers. IREC has participated in more than 60 projects, with a portfolio of more than 7M€. Additionally, IREC published more than 500 peer-reviewed papers, holds more than 30 patents and has supported the creation of 3 spin-off companies. |

ProjectZero
Sonderborg´s ProjectZero project is focused on creating a ZEROcarbon Sonderborg-territory by 2029 by a full-scale demonstration of an integrated energy system in Sonderborg. Since its creation in 2020, a 51.7% CO2-reduction have been achieved – and the new Masterplan2029, approved by the Sonderborg City Council by the end of 2021, co-created by almost 100 local experts and stakeholders has defined the most cost-efficient way to achieve Sonderborg´s ZEROcarbon (neutrality) ambition by 2029. ProjectZero is based on a public-private partnership between the municipality, the Danfoss-foundation, local /regional utility companies, the SDU Southern Denmark University supported (when created) by the Nordea national bank foundation and the DONG Energy national energy company. ProjectZero is anchored in a legal structure facilitating the ProjectZero company and operating the ProjectZero secretariat in Sonderborg. |

Operating as a working cooperative, with a horizontal work structure participatory management, AIGUASOL pursues organisational transformation and focuses on social responsibility, innovation, training and quality. It combines scientific knowledge, practical experience and management skills, which are essential to successfully reach the objectives of the project. In ARV, its primary focus will be using and testing tools for the implementation of CPCCs and integrating circular design in the Spanish demo project. |

Sønderborg Andelsboligforening – SAB is a non-profit independent and private social housing company established as a cooperative member organization of the tenants. The tenants own SAB and are organized in housing departments with individual economies. The tenants make their own decisions concerning their particular housing department. SAB has one main board, furthermore, each department has a board. SAB works with activities related to housing of its tenants. SAB has 46 departments with 3,400 apartments in the municipality of Sonderborg, Denmark. Department 22 in SAB is the Danish demo-project in ARV. Department 22 is constructed in 1973 and has 432 apartments divided into 19 housing blocks. |

Statutory city of Karviná is a city in Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic, on the Olza River. Karviná lies in the historical region of Cieszyn Silesia. Together with neighboring towns it forms industrial Ostrava-Karviná Coal Basin. It has 51 373 inhabitants (2021 census). Even if at first sight it might not seem so, this industrial town is also rich with cultural and social history. The city has gone through a complicated and multidimensional development for more than seven centuries. The department Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development in the faculty aims to contribute to improved knowledge related to all Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as set by the United Nations in 2015. The research group Energy & Resources (E&R) of the Copernicus Institute will be involved in the ARV project. |

Woonin is a Dutch housing corporation. We provide housing for low-income households in the Utrecht region. Woonin owns 30.000 dwellings, have done so for the last 100 years and will continue to do so. We aim to grow in order to keep up with the growth of te city. We build new projects and renovate older ones. We also sell some of our real-estate and even demolish some in order to build more and better new houses. |

HABITECH DTTN - Distretto Tecnologico Trentino
HABITECH – Energy and Environment District – is the Italian leading centre for green building, renewable energy and innovation. As a non-profit cluster organization established in 2006 in Rovereto (Autonomous Province of Trento), it aims at creating business networks and production chains specialised in the fields of sustainable buildings, energy efficiency and smart technologies. Today Habitech consists of around 130 members, including SMEs, large companies, research centres and public entities, located in the Autonomous Province of Trento and elsewhere in Italy. Instituto Balear De La Vivienda
The Balearic Social Housing Institute (IBAVI) is a public body attached to the Mobility and Housing Ministry of the Government of the Balearic Islands, whose objective is the creation and maintenance of a real estate park of public social housing for the citizens of this community since 1986. The current housing park consists of more than 1.800 protected homes on a rental basis. At this moment, there are more than 900 new dwellings under construction to face housing emergency and climate emergency. Previously, the IBAVI promoted and developed the LIFE Reusing Posidonia Project, funded by the European programme LIFE+ for Nature Conservation & Climate Change Adaptation Projects. It has been awarded with the 2021 LIFE Award for Best Environment Project by the European Commission, among many others. |

Sonderborg´s ProjectZero project is focused on creating a ZEROcarbon Sonderborg-territory by 2029 by a full-scale demonstration of an integrated energy system in Sonderborg. Since its creation in 2020, a 51.7% CO2-reduction have been achieved – and the new Masterplan2029, approved by the Sonderborg City Council by the end of 2021, co-created by almost 100 local experts and stakeholders has defined the most cost-efficient way to achieve Sonderborg´s ZEROcarbon (neutrality) ambition by 2029. ProjectZero is based on a public-private partnership between the municipality, the Danfoss-foundation, local /regional utility companies, the SDU Southern Denmark University supported (when created) by the Nordea national bank foundation and the DONG Energy national energy company. ProjectZero is anchored in a legal structure facilitating the ProjectZero company and operating the ProjectZero secretariat in Sonderborg. |

SAB has 46 departments with 3,400 apartments in the municipality of Sonderborg, Denmark. Department 22 in SAB is the Danish demo-project in ARV. Department 22 is constructed in 1973 and has 432 apartments divided into 19 housing blocks. |
