Palma hosted a day dedicated to showcasing Virtual and Augmented Reality tools in Nou Llevant

On 20 November, Palma City Council and SINTEF organised an event to present and evaluate virtual reality and augmented reality as tools to facilitate energy renovation.

In the Nou Llevant neighbourhood, in front of one of the buildings that will be renovated in the coming months, neighbours, university students and students from a secondary school in the neighbourhood were invited. The benefits of energy renovation and how tools such as virtual reality and augmented reality can help in decision-making were explained to everyone.

Participants in the event were able to test the tools and see for themselves how they worked. They completed evaluation questionnaires before and after the tests.

In total, 31 people tested the augmented reality tool and 18 the virtual reality tool.
