🇬🇧 As the relevance of energy transition grows at the EU level, environmentally sustainable architecture plays a key role in reducing carbon emissions from buildings and increasing awareness about sustainability. Innovations in the architecture field are not only about creating visually appealing but also community-centred environments for their users. Can architectural design serve as a catalyst for raising awareness about energy transition? Can new designs and tools be envisioned to create spaces according to the three NEB principles: beautiful, sustainable, and together?

We will use these questions as a kick-start point for discussion at the event ‘Architects as facilitators of the energy transition:  insights on two Plus Energy Buildings in Oslo’ on 18 October at Sentralen, Oslo (Norway). The event is hosted by Oslobygg, NTNU and the Architects’ Council of Europe within the EU-funded project ARV, and it will include insightful presentations on plus energy buildings, an exhibition to experience the ARV solutions with VR tools, and a site visit to the Voldsløkka school (the ARV Norwerigan Climate-Positive Circular Community (CPCC)).

Join our awareness-raising event in Oslo to discover a wide range of replicable solutions for designing Plus Energy Buildings. Our keynote speakers will be the architects Erik Brett Jacobsen (SPINN and KONTUR Arkitekter) and Marit Reisegg Myklestad (Østengen & Bergo AS)  for the ARV project, and Evy Ann Buverud (SØR arkitekter AS) for the Cultural-E project.

The event is organised in the framework of ARV with the support of the EU-funded project Cultural-E. The Cultural-E is building three new Plus Energy Buildings in Germany, Italy and Norway and retrofitting one existing building in France by taking into account climate and cultural differences in the use of residential buildings around Europe.

🇳🇴 Bærekraftig arkitektur spiller en nøkkelrolle for at vi skal kunne redusere bygningers klimagassutslipp og øke bevisstheten om bærekraft. Innovasjoner innenfor bærekraftig arkitekture handler å skape ikke bare visuelt tiltalende, men også fellesskapsorienterte rom. Kan design bidra til å øke bevisstheten om overgangen til lavutslippssamfunnet? Kan design og nye verktøy bidra til å oppfylle de tre prinsippene for New European Bauhaus: skjønnhet, bærekraft og fellesskap?

Disse spørsmålene vil danne utgangspunkt for arrangementet “Arkitekter som fasilitatorer for lavutslippssamfunnet: Eksempler fra to plusshus i Oslo” den 18. oktober på Sentralen, arrangert av Oslobygg, NTNU, og Architects Council of Europe. På arrangementet vil du få presentasjon av to plusshus-prosjekter i Oslo, få se en utstilling av AR-verktøy til bruk i prosjekteringen, samt mulighet til å bli med på omvisning på Voldsløkka skole og kultursenter. Foredragsholdere er Erik Brett Jacobsen (SPINN og KONTUR Arkitekter), Marit Reisegg Myklestad (Østengen & Bergo AS), og Evy Ann Buverud (SØR arkitekter AS).

Arrangementet er del av EU-prosjektene ARV og Cultural-E. ARV har som mål å utvikle klimapositive og sirkulære samfunn, mens Cultural-E bygger tre nye plussenergibygg og rehabiliterer ett eksisterende bygg.
